By age 26, Dallas Ramsden had visited every continent on Earth, except Antarctica, to study and experience uncommon situations. Thankfully, without a selfie stick, he was awe-struck by China’s Great Wall, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, and his 64-megabyte MP3 music player.
In late 2004, Dallas was severely injured in a train accident in Northwest Thailand. In a coma, fighting meningitis, pneumonia, and pseudomonas, and declared clinically dead upon his arrival at a hospital in Bangkok, he decided to level up and live the gift of life on purpose. But first, he had to relearn how to walk, talk, and make lame jokes about mummies like himself listening to “wrap” music.

Fierce curiosity, fortune, and timing have allowed him to test autopilot software for the Dreamliner airplane, apply science and mathematics as an oilfield engineer to find oil on the Texas / Mexico border, he was an English teacher in Korea and joined the Drupal workforce in Wellington New Zealand as a lead developer. Ever the pragmatic outcome maker, Dallas combined his understanding of crafting learning journies with the principles of creating customer journeys, and he became a Chief Marketing Officer in 2021.
Since 2008, Dallas has been immersed in the world of Drupal. In June 2015, he joined Acquia as an instructor for future Acquia University sessions. Since then, he has been an instructional designer during the 2020 pandemic, with more than 10,000 students taking his online courses. He was a chief marketing officer for a Drupal agency. His current focus is on making learning Digital Identity enjoyable and meaningful. His ultimate goal is to revolutionize education using Drupal and AI, contributing to a new era of personalized learning.
For Dallas, giving back is his passion, Drupal is his modus operandi, and awesome is his pledge.
